Talent Incubation Network

Design a public face for your research

Cornerhouse, Castlefield Gallery, Manchester Art Gallery, Whitworth Art Gallery, Tate Liverpool, FACT, Liverpool

Six of the North West’s leading arts organisations have come together in a unique network that will actively incubate the region’s emerging research talent. From October to December 2012 each network partner will host free seminars where you can hear about their work, meet their staff and introduce your current research. The seminars will show you how to match your research interests with those of network partners. All partners are keen to generate new knowledge exchange relationships, offering exclusive opportunities to work with their buildings and collections, access their networks or engage with their audiences.

Following the seminars, participants will be invited to submit a brief project proposal to the partners. This is an opportunity to think creatively about your existing research, consider its public face or imagine innovative ways to test findings and ideas. Each network partner will then choose two to take forward. This means that, in total, up to 12 collaborative projects will be incubated by the network.

Participants from any subject background are warmly welcomed to join the Talent Incubation Network though those with an interest in digital learning, practice-based research, museum or curatorial study, architecture or performance are particularly encouraged to apply.

The first seminar will take place at FACT, Liverpool on 25th October 2012. To apply, visit
