CIDRA Postgraduate Workshop
CIDRA (Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in the Arts) is organising a one-day workshop for postgraduate students on Thursday November 11, 2010. Drawing upon the diverse postgraduate community in the School of Arts, Histories & Cultures, the workshop will host four panels (three speakers and a discussant for each panel). An introductory lecture will be given by James Thompson, Professor of Applied and Social Theatre. All faculty members and PG students are welcome to attend the sessions.
Even though the workshop does not have a limiting theme, we would like some of the presentations to address issues around ‘interdisciplinarity’. The latter has become a magic word among research scholars in recent years and this workshop will allow students to discuss how their work fits into interdisciplinary frameworks. In addition to creating a sense of community among PG students in SAHC, the workshop will enable the presenters to receive valuable peer group feedback on their research.
Submission for paper proposals should be in by October 11 2010. If you are interested to present your work and/or be a discussant on one of the panels send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
